YMCA Ethiopia is actively involved in the Green Legacy Campaign, a national initiative aimed at enhancing environmental sustainability through tree planting. We mobilize our staff, volunteers, and youth to engage in annual tree planting initiatives that significantly contribute to sustainable natural resource management.These campaigns not only focus on increasing green cover but also foster a sense of community and environmental stewardship among participants. By bringing together individuals from various backgrounds, we create opportunities for collaboration and education on the importance of trees in combating climate change, improving air quality, and supporting biodiversity.Through our tree planting initiatives, we aim to instill a sense of responsibility in young people regarding environmental conservation. Participants learn about the ecological benefits of trees and the critical role they play in maintaining healthy ecosystems.
