YMCA Ethiopia 75th Anniversary Celebration
Theme: “75 Years of Impact – Shaping the Future Together”
In 2025, YMCA Ethiopia will celebrate a historic milestone – 75 years of empowering youth and transforming communities since its founding in 1949. This Diamond Jubilee Celebration will be a month-long nationwide event, bringing together young people, alumni, partners, and the wider public to honor our past, engage the present, and shape the future.
About the Celebration
The anniversary will highlight YMCA Ethiopia’s journey of holistic youth development and community service, while also setting the stage for future innovation. From grassroots branch activities to a grand national celebration in Addis Ababa, the event will showcase our legacy and vision for the next generation.

- National Celebration Day (Addis Ababa)
Opening ceremony, cultural performances, a 75-year legacy documentary, alumni testimonies, youth innovation challenge, advocacy for the historic Arat Kilo branch, and a community talent showcase. - Branch-Level Celebrations
Regional events across Mekelle, Adwa, Bahir Dar, Wolaita, and Hawassa, featuring green campaigns, school outreach, talent shows, and local exhibitions. - Youth Innovation & Engagement
